Job Purpose: Supervise production and packaging processes through the co-ordination of all available resources. Ensuring that the scheduled product is manufactured and packaged in a safe, efficient and timely manner. Attainment of site and corporate goals is key.
Millwright Mechanic Responsibilities to Include: - Troubleshooting/repairs/installation or processing and packaging equipment with a working knowledge of electrical to allow efficient repair/replacement results
- Mechanical knowledge of power transmission, pneumatics, hydraulics and electronics
- Be able to read and understand mechanical drawings and schematics
- Machining and fabricating parts for equipment repairs and upgrades
- Welding of equipment or part repair
- Understand and adhere to all Plant Food, Health & Safety Policies
- Look for root cause of repetitive equipment problems and solve
- Work with supervisors for continuous improvement of process equipment operation
- Remove parts and pipes for sanitation/cleaning and re-assemble for next production run
- Record activities on Maintenance Log
- Prioritize work to ensure production requirements are met
- Inform Storekeeper when stock of critical parts is low
- Prepare Withdrawal Form when removing parts from Storeroom
- Follow lockout/tag out policy and follow safety rules as per OHSA and the Company Policy.
- Follow all GMP, Food Safety, Sanitation Principles to ensure food safety of plant and equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
Millwright Qualifications: - Must possess OSSD or equivalent
- Must posses Certificate of Apprentice
- Must posses a valid Certificate of Qualification 403 A red sealed from Province of Ontario
HVAC Mechanic Responsibilities to Include: - Install, overhaul and service HVAC/Refrigeration units
- Repair/rebuild/troubleshoot to solve technical HVAC refrigeration issues
- Test gas leaks in refrigeration system and top up with refrigerant
- Prepare work reports and maintain history of all refrigeration and air conditioning units
- Must work on improving efficiency of refrigeration and air conditioning systems and monitor energy consumption
HVAC Qualifications: - Certification as a Refrigeration and Air Conditioning journeyman
- Minimum of 3 years of related refrigeration work experience
- Have a G1 gas ticket
- Have knowledge of refrigeration and air conditioning control systems
