Steve is a graduate of the University Of Waterloo in Mechanical Engineering and a member of the Professional Engineers of Ontario.

Steve entered the workforce as an entrepreneur starting up a new company named Exemplar System Inc, and then joined Rowntree (now Nestle) as the Packaging Engineer. He was responsible for installation of new wrapping and cartoning equipment as well as a robotic packing line. He joined Allan Candy as the plants Project/Packaging Engineer. His responsibilities included extensive selection, purchase, installation and commissioning of all the plants process and packaging equipment through a high growth phase of Allan Candy. Steve has an extensive and in-depth knowledge of the plants history, equipment capabilities, chocolate and hard candy manufacturing processes and packaging concepts. Steve also plays an important role in product innovation for the site.

Steve's current responsibilities at the plant are capital equipment projects, engineering, facilities management, environmental responsibilities and Information Technology.
